Most Three Pointers in a Season: NBA Record, Not Padel
Stephen Curry’s 402 is the NBA individual regular-season record. Padel has no three-pointers: its points, games and sets use a different scoring system.

Stephen Curry holds the NBA individual regular-season record with 402 three-pointers made for the Golden State Warriors in 2015–16. The Warriors’ official account confirms that record, and Basketball-Reference’s single-season leaderboard, checked on 25 October 2026, still lists him first.
That is a basketball record, not a padel statistic. Padel has no three-point scoring shot.
What the 402 counts
The record covers made three-point field goals by one NBA player during the regular season—not attempts, a team total, a career total or a season combined with the playoffs. ESPN’s report of Curry’s final game confirms that he finished the regular season with 402.
The competition matters: this is the NBA record, not a claim covering every basketball league.
How points work in padel
Under the International Padel Federation’s rules effective from 1 January 2026, an ordinary game progresses through love, 15, 30, 40 and game, with the applicable deuce format determining how a tied game ends. A tie-break instead counts points numerically: zero, one, two, three and so on.
The score labels do not represent different rewards for different shots. Winning a rally at love advances the pair to 15; it does not award 15 separate points. Likewise, reaching three in a tie-break means winning three points, not hitting a three-pointer.
For the relevant padel terminology, see our padel scoring and game guide. A padel season comparison should specify its own measure—such as matches or titles won—and name the tour and period, rather than importing a basketball scoring category.
