“USYS Nationals” refers to the US Youth Soccer National Championships—not a padel competition. The organizer describes it as the culmination of a yearlong series for boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, with qualification through USYS State Cups and the National League. For 2026, its championship brackets run from 13U through the combined 18U/19U category. US Youth Soccer sets out the qualification routes and event format.

For padel readers, the important distinction is the governing organization. USA Padel, formerly the United States Padel Association, is the U.S. national governing body for padel. It is not US Youth Soccer. USA Padel’s description of its role identifies its recognition by the International Padel Federation (FIP).

Where to find the right competition

What you are looking for Official starting point What it covers
USYS Nationals qualification and event information US Youth Soccer National Championships The national youth soccer tournament
Previous USYS Nationals winners US Youth Soccer’s championship history Past results and champions by age group
U.S. junior padel national-team information USA Padel’s junior team page Junior team eligibility and international competition announcements
International junior padel tournament dates FIP Promises calendar FIP Promises events for the selected season

These padel resources answer different questions: a national-team page concerns representing the United States, while a tournament calendar identifies individual events. Neither is another name for USYS Nationals.

Keep tournament entries separate from participation

A national championship field counts qualified competitors or teams, not everyone playing the sport. USYS’s qualification rules describe a selected soccer field; those entries do not belong in a U.S. padel participation total.

The same distinction matters within padel. Before using a junior tournament record as evidence of growth, establish whether the figure counts pairs, unique athletes or entries across multiple age categories. Our analysis of FIP Promises Bali’s entry record explains why a larger field does not automatically establish an equally large increase in distinct players.
