League Cup winners: football’s trophy and padel’s City’s Cup
Manchester City won football’s 2026 League Cup. For padel, see the PPL champions from 2023–2025 and the scheduled 2026 Finals.

Manchester City won England’s 2026 football League Cup, beating Arsenal 2–0 at Wembley on 22 March. It was City’s ninth title, one behind Liverpool’s record ten, according to the EFL’s final report. Those are football records, not padel results.
For readers looking for padel league champions, this article covers the Pro Padel League (PPL) and its season-ending City’s Cup. New York Atlantics won the 2025 overall title. The distinction matters: a franchise’s overall championship is not necessarily the same record as a men’s or women’s divisional title.
Pro Padel League champions, 2023–2025
This table records the inaugural PPL championship and the subsequent City’s Cup winners—not every regular-season event winner.
| Season | Winning franchise | What the record covers |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | Las Vegas Smash | Inaugural PPL championship; defeated Cancun Waves in the final. LTA report |
| 2024 | Flowrida Goats, now Florida Goats | First City’s Cup title, confirmed in the PPL’s franchise announcement. |
| 2025 | New York Atlantics | Overall City’s Cup title, combining men’s and women’s results. PPL season report |
The 2023 title predates the City’s Cup name used for the 2024 championship. The LTA records that Las Vegas secured its inaugural final through wins in women’s and men’s doubles. Contemporary coverage names the 2024 winners as Flowrida Goats and reports a 2–1 final victory over Miami Padel Club; the league’s later announcement uses Florida Goats. These are not two separate champions. 2024 final coverage
For 2025, the PPL reports New York’s winning overall total as 40 points: 15 from the men’s side and 25 from the women’s side. That is a combined team total, not a doubles match score. PPL championship report
Has the 2026 PPL title been decided?
Not as of 26 October 2026. The PPL schedules its Finals for 3–6 December 2026 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, with the men’s and women’s champions due to be crowned on 6 December. The official Finals page describes eight-team draws and separate championship matches.
When comparing winners across seasons, retain the competition name, year and title category. A regular-season event victory, divisional championship and combined franchise title should not be merged into one undifferentiated trophy count.
